An intergenerational play for everyone aged 11 and over

Louise Aston and Mathilde Anneke, two revolutionaries, meet on a ship that takes them away from home. They have to flee because the revolution of 1848 has failed. They remember and dream of a better, freer future, because the long road to democracy has only just begun...

Gabi Altenbach and Ines Honsel tell, play and sing about destinies, the everyday and the extraordinary. With enthusiasm and a close look at the people of this era, they create a vivid picture of the events and their consequences. Not a history lesson, but an experience of the past!
