Times are sensitive. Family man Heinz Hellmich has to painfully realize this when he is threatened with losing his job after a few clumsy missteps at work. To prove that he is not an "old white man", he invites his boss and other guests (or is it guests?!) to his home for a dinner. Together with his family, he wants to present himself from his best, most modern and "wokest" side! But as soon as the evening begins, Heinz starts to fall into one trap after another and realizes that his wife Carla, his children and Grandpa Georg don't exactly radiate pure harmony. When, after much turbulence, everyone finally sits down at the same table, the politically correct façade quickly begins to crumble...old quarrels break out, surprising guests provide ever new twists and turns and the diverse dinner party ploughs chaotically through the minefield of the most sensitive issues of our time until, in the end, the question arises as to how it is possible to build bridges in the Hellmich family, as well as in society as a whole, despite all the disputes.
