And Also The Trees - Indie

BROTHERS OF THE TREES is a project centered around brothers Justin (guitarist) and Simon Jones (vocalist) of "And Also The Trees". They play a semi-improvised set with sometimes heavily influenced guitar loops, drones and feedback as well as spoken word passages that often lead into melodic or even free versions of "AATT" songs. Each show is unique and here, for the first time, they draw on the new, highly acclaimed album "Mother-of-Pearl Moon". The aim is to have the freedom to play with or without other musicians, depending on the different circumstances, conditions and locations.

And Also The Trees were formed during the "post-punk" era in Worcestershire, England. They are known for their captivating live performances, unique mandolin like electric guitar style, evocative lyrics, dark jazz rhythms and carefully preserved independence. They have released 14 studio albums inspired by their unusual, rural origins and their travels as a touring band through Europe, the USA and Japan.

"Mother-of-pearl Moon", the new "And Also The Trees" album, is a powerful work that began as a series of extraordinary guitar improvisations. A voice, clarinet, piano, drums, autoharp and moog have been added and the listener is taken on a journey from the depths of the English countryside, far out in all directions. And Also The Trees continue to bring their unique sound and dynamic live shows to Europe in the fall of 2024.
