Nine-year-old Jennifer is alone at home. Her father lives far away with his new family and her mother has to spontaneously go to the hospital for the night shift. No need to be scared, Jennifer thinks, and works through her secret list. The list is full of things she wants to do; lie on the sofa with her shoes on, secretly order pizza, fall asleep on the sofa unwashed and with a bag of potato chips. At some point, however, it gets a bit creepy at home all alone and she starts to get scared. Then she suddenly discovers someone who is even more frightened than she is. In the closet is Angstmän, who has transported himself from a galaxy far, far away directly into Jennifer's closet and is seeking refuge from his pursuer, Pöbelmän. Of course, he is not long in coming.

"Angstmän" by Hartmut El Kurdi in a fast-paced production by Naemi Friedmann is a story full of suspense and comedy that deals with the fear of being alone in an original way.
