ANIME: TRAPEZIUM

In the organizer's words:

Driven by an unwavering passion to become an idol, Yu Azuma, a young, ambitious freshman at Joshu East High School, embarks on a journey to form an idol group. To realize her dream, she recruits a girl from each of the four high schools in her region (North, East, South and West) and finds her group members there.

At Yu's side is Ranko Kashima, a sophisticated sophomore at Holy Tenerita's Southern Girls' Academy, with an eye-catching curly hairstyle and admiration for Ochofujin ("Madame Butterfly"); Kurumi Taiga, a student from West Tech Vocational High School who wears cute oversized jackets with long sleeves and dreams of winning a robotics competition; and Mika Kamei, a student from Joshu North High School who is known for her kind heart and commitment to volunteering.

With the help of Shinji Kudo, Yu's "coworker" and confidante, these four young girls set out on the road to glory. But the journey holds unexpected trials, rigorous demands, setbacks and pressures that threaten to undo everything Yu has worked so hard for.

The original story of "Trapezium" comes from the novel "Trapezium" by Kazumi Takayama (Da Vinch / KADOKAWA) and was adapted into a screenplay by Yuko Kakihara. The film was directed by Masahiro Shinohara and produced by Cloverworks. The main voices include Asaki Yuikawa, Hina Youmiya, Reina Ueda and Haruka Aikawa.
