Rejoice and be glad - Annie Heger is going on tour with her successful Christmas album BETHLEHEM.
Between contemplative blues, holiness, beer crate charm and stable smell - the Christmas message has never been as clear and necessary as at this time of year:
Fear not!
In her program and album of the same name, "Bethlehem", she retells the familiar Christmas story over and over again. It's about closed doors, a small child, a light that shows you the way and an impressive "Fear not!". Messages that we can use particularly well in these times.
Annie Heger shares her attitude to Christmas with us in her songs: for her, it is the festival of festivals, a safe haven, a homecoming and, of course, a big party! Personal memories of Christmas celebrations with the extended family, the hustle and bustle of the Christmas markets, the silence when looking into the crib, absurd Christmas traditions, wrapping paper orgies and dancing together around the Christmas tree have inspired the concert evening.
Annie Heger: "I want people's hearts to open. We know how powerful music can be. These songs, the Christmas story, should touch people and give them confidence."
Annie Heger is one of the most famous entertainers in the north and a bird of paradise among the East Frisian seagulls. Often described as a jack-of-all-trades, she gets involved everywhere: As a radio columnist for the NDR cult column "Hör mal' beten to!", Low German book author, or on stage with socially critical cabaret. She hosts the biggest live shows in the country and tackles the most difficult social issues on stage. She was born in East Frisia, grew up as one of seven children in a patchwork family, moved around the world, briefly lost her heart in the USA, now lives in Berlin and is a successful singer, presenter and actress in High and Low German.
