Archie Clapp's stand-up program "New Wings" tells the story of how his daughter got a new lung. Sure, lung transplants are not the most obvious topic for entertaining comedy. But even as a comedian, you can't choose your children! Moreover, Archie's art lies precisely in turning this formative experience into a comedy evening that is extremely funny - but also touching. According to the formula: Tragedy plus time equals comedy. In doing so, he takes after his English grandmother, who complained at her husband's open grave: "What a waste! Stiff for the first time in years and you can't do anything with it!"

"New Wings" is neither a story of mourning nor a contrived punchline parade, but a tribute to life that also tells of Archie's open marriage and his other children.

After two years of touring almost every TV show together with Okan Seese, it's now time to stand alone on stage again. Alone, but with two new grand pianos!
