Arisva Quartett

The outstanding Arisva Quartet will perform the wonderful and rarely played 2nd String Quartet by Alexander Borodin at kammerkonzerte.koeln. It is a masterpiece of the quartet's art, full of moving and rousing romantic music.
There will also be a very special work for Cologne: after more than 40 years, the (also) 2nd string quartet by Cologne composer Heinz Pauels will be heard again. The lost performance material was meticulously reconstructed from the handwritten score from 1950. A discussion with Ms. Rahman-Pauels about her father's work and the special 50th and 60th years at the Cologne stages - her mother was the well-known soprano Charlotte Hoffmann-Pauels at the Cologne Opera - will introduce the concert.
