We'll ask you to dance - with one of our absolute bestselling motifs. Using a simple dabbing technique, learn how to give the dancer an impressive dress with sparkling colors in the light. The contrasting areas of light and shadow gradually create an impressive work of art that sparkles with movement, intensity and devotion. Are you ready? Then let's dance!

What you will learn

Acrylic:

Acrylic paint is a real all-rounder! When applied thinly, it can be used to create watercolor effects; when applied thickly, it gives a high color intensity. It can be diluted with water, dries quickly, is odorless and waterproof when dry.

Layering:

Layering is one of the most basic painting techniques, in which a layer of paint is applied on top of an already dried layer. The bottom layer is usually the largest part of the painting, the top layers are smaller and are used to add depth, detail and shadow to the painting.

Wet-on-wet:

The wet-on-wet technique involves working quickly to directly continue the paint that has just been applied and is still wet, or to spread it with another layer of paint. It can be used to create beautiful organic and soft color transitions.

Dabbing:

Another popular painting technique for acrylic paint is dabbing. This involves dabbing or pressing the painting tool, napkins or sponges onto the canvas to create expressive shapes.
