Auf den Spuren von Menschen mit Zivilcourage: Stadtspaziergang in München

To mark the nationwide Day of Civil Courage on 19.09.2024, the Munich association Zivilcourage für ALLE e.V. is offering a themed walk at 5 pm and 5:30 pm . The tour lasts around two hours and leads via Karlstor, Marienhof, Odeonsplatz and the English Garden to Geschwister-Scholl-Platz in front of Ludwig Maximilian University. Together, participants will search for traces of courageous Munich residents past and present and discover events, organizations and people associated with the topic of civil courage.

The Day of Civil Courage has been held annually on September 19 since 2015. The day of action is intended to draw attention to the fact that civil courage is an essential building block for freedom and democracy. On this day, campaigns are held throughout Germany to encourage people to stand up in public for the protection of their fellow human beings against insults, discrimination, threats, racism, crime, xenophobia and violence. The Federal Network for Civil Courage (BNZC), whose members include the Munich-based association Zivilcourage für ALLE e.V., is responsible for the Day of Civil Courage .
