The last few years have been characterized by a spirit of optimism and the self-confidence of many minorities to bring about social change. Jagoda Marinić has been committed to building a more diverse society for over ten years. In Gentle Radicalism, she describes how it became possible to turn her ideas into reality. Marinić's novel Restaurant Dalmatia "sets a monument to the so-called guest workers [...]", wrote the FAZ in 2014, the year it was published. Highly praised by the press, it addressed migration, integration and the different generations of guest workers in Germany - and was far ahead of its time. Only today are his motifs and themes resonating in social discussions, which is why the novel has just been reissued. The journalist and philosopher Michel Friedman, who wrote the afterword to the new edition, talks to the author about her highly topical texts. Moderator: Lars Haider
