Ausstellung: Sammlungsschaufenster #1

In the organizer's words:

The collection of the Baukunstarchiv NRW includes numerous plans from around 120 bequests and estates. A small selection will be on display in the Gartensaal from January 17 to February 16, 2025.

Before the archive material can be made accessible to the public, it has to be sorted, cleaned, ironed, archivally packaged and digitally recorded. This task is mainly carried out by the archive's student employees. For the exhibition, they have selected their favorite sheets from the most recently catalogued holdings. They provide an insight into the variety of building tasks, architectural styles and presentation techniques that characterize the collection of the Baukunstarchiv NRW.

On display are works by Walter Böhm (1880-1944, Wesseling), Franz Bunse (1913-1998) and Willy Bunse (1908-1974, Mülheim an der Ruhr), Heinz Döhmen (1927-2019, Viersen), Ulrich Gastreich (1922-1997) and Mechthild Gastreich-Moritz (1924-1998, Dortmund) as well as Helmut Teichert (1932-2022, Plettenberg).

Collection Showcase #1: Duration: 17.1. to 16.2.2025 in the Garden Hall of the Baukunstarchiv NRW. In the "Collection Showcase" exhibition series, the Baukunstarchiv NRW will continue to present selected media from its holdings at irregular intervals.
