Carried by the dynamic, emotionally charged vocals of Sonja Maier, BAITS' sound is a perfect blend of anger and melancholy, seamlessly complemented by the wild (and sometimes delicately playful) guitar parts of Christopher Herndler. The rhythm section, completed by the powerful duo Fazo and bassist Bernd Faszl, pulsates with raw energy reminiscent of iconic bands like the Pixies, Breeders and a touch of Jay Reatard.

However, BAITS not only capture the sweaty, unbridled energy of 90s indie bands, but also venture fearlessly into the world of pop, creating a unique sound that is as infectious as it is rebellious. Their latest singles, including "Who are You", "Stuck AF" and "Craves" have secured coveted spots on Spotify editorial playlists, become fixtures on Austrian FM4 radio and spent several weeks in the Austrian indie charts.

As a live act, BAITS are an undeniable force of nature not to be missed, as they have proven at over 100 live gigs in recent years. Their 2nd album, which will be released in March 2024 on Noise Appeal Records, promises a sonic journey that pushes the boundaries of pop with a generous helping of snot and filth.
