Balkansoul Lost (S)heroes

In the organizer's words:

With "Balkansoul - Lost (S)heroes", the HER.STORY collective presents an innovative music-theater performance that explores the culture of remembrance of Balkan guest workers.

Under the direction of Jasmina Musić and Rada Radojčić, in co-production with Theater Fletch Bizzel, interviews with Dortmund women from three generations are incorporated into the production. The aim is to make the often overlooked stories of these women visible.

The performance combines folkloric music, in particular melancholic Sevdalinka songs, with contemporary elements of the performing arts. It addresses the challenges and successes of migrant women workers and creates a shared experience that helps to heal and commemorate the victims of the labor struggle.
