Theo Kollross, a young pianist from Augsburg, has already made a name for himself on the scene precisely because he deals with historical styles on his instrument. The legendary Erroll Garner is a pianist who stood between Harlem stride piano, swing and bebop in his very own virtuoso way. This evening is dedicated to him and especially to his "Concert by the Sea".

BE MY GUEST #11
Tradition ahead!
At a time when jazz legends such as Sonny Rollins and Roy Haynes are approaching 100, it is noticeable that some of the young jazz generation are consciously engaging with the tradition of improvised music. The 11th Be My Guest season presents predominantly young people who have already left the label "talent" behind them. Look forward to seven concerts with youthful vigor and conscious reference to the great, rich past of jazz!
