Festival of encounters

Building bridges and bringing people together: This is more important than ever nowadays, when many things in society are drifting apart. This is the shared conviction of the cultural office with its integration officer, the twinning association, which supports the municipality in maintaining the town twinning, and the Neubiberg Asylum Helpers' Circle, which can look back on ten years of successful integration work.

The three organizers want to promote togetherness with the powerful possibilities of culture, following on from the 2016 charity gala for refugees. Under the patronage of First Mayor Thomas Pardeller, a delegation from the "Harmonie Neubiberg" music association will open the program with alpine brass music. The Merak trio captures hearts with spirited melodies and rhythms from the Balkans. There will be a Ukrainian choir, and the renowned Munich Klezmer Trio will play for free for the good cause, as will the blues and boogie band Free Beer & Chicken, who will invite you to join in the relaxed atmosphere of the evening. People of all nationalities are invited to the fundraising gala to enjoy the music and get to know each other better. In addition to information stands and activities, drinks and international finger food will be on offer.
