Casual & shrill, worldly & self-ironic, arrogant & vulnerable - this incomparable mixture is second to none: Bernd Begemann, the first documented punk from Bad Salzuflen, veteran of the Hamburg school, guitar nerd, the most cunning womanizer in the republic and top-styled entertainer. "I'm just a guy who sings songs," says the favorite bard of the German pop intelligentsia succinctly, before he gathers a formidable orchestra behind him for this retrospective. The audience can expect an evening with a high potential for exhaustion, which will only end when Begemann raises his sweaty towel to the heavens in the most beautiful Udo Jürgens style.
