BERTRAM ENGEL, the drummer who has formed the backbone of the Peter Maffay Band and Udo Lindenberg's Panikorchester for many decades, has written his memoirs. With irrepressible energy and openness, he brings anecdotes and experiences to the stage of the Stuttgart Theaterhaus on 15 January.

In "Mit alten Männern spiel' ich nicht", BERTRAM ENGEL talks about how he has been in the spotlight for almost five decades and shares unique moments on and off stage from the eventful life of a rock star. His stage program is a mixture of excerpts from his book, which he will perform himself, as well as songs he has written over the years for Maffay, Lindenberg and other greats, which he will play and sing himself on the grand piano. On this evening journey through German rock'n'roll history, he will be accompanied musically and in dialog by audiovisual recordings, contemporary witnesses and musicians.
