DOCTOR CLEANHEAD
"The Blues cures the blues".
That's what John Lee Hooker once said. It is precisely this phrase that the four musicians of Doctor Cleanhead have written on their banners. Because their music is healing for the strained soul: simple in melody and lyrics, but all the more compelling in groove, and always with the courage to express honest and stirring emotions, from dreamy ballads to stomping boogie, from devout gospel to traditional Memphis music.
The band members consciously cultivate "musical simplicity": polyphonic vocals and original, non-electric instruments such as harmonica, mandolin, cajon and resonator guitar. The program ranges from Leadbelly and Muddy Waters to Fats Domino and Janis Joplin, whereby the pieces are reduced to the essentials and brought to the point. "Cleanhead" music, free of intellectual interference. However, this does not prevent the band members from telling interesting details about the history of the blues and its dazzling, but often forgotten representatives between the songs.
After all, blues means that music is made by people for people.

Free admission. All concerts are hat concerts, which means that YOU as a guest decide how much you want to put in the hat. There is no rule for this, you alone decide. As a little tip, musicians create their works, rehearse and come to us at the venue! Musicians love "spotlights" but any amount is welcome - just like you! We accept cash! Enjoy a few musical hours in a relaxed atmosphere with musicians and bands from various genres.
