On September 17, 2024 from 1 p.m., the beyond economy festival will take place for the first time at the Muffatwerke in Munich and invites companies, start-ups, investors and experts to shape the economy of tomorrow together and symbiotically.
The festival marks the departure towards a digital and enkelfähige economy and creates space for knowledge exchange, networking and the start of joint development projects. It is the start of the beyond economy movement, a platform that aims to bring together leading players from various sectors of the economy, the environmental and sustainability scene and politics. In view of acute global challenges such as climate change, energy transformation and social injustice, holistic solutions are increasingly needed. The festival offers participants the opportunity to find space, inspiration and partners for their own transformation.
The aim is to support companies and organizations in their transformation in these areas, among others:
- Business Ecosystems
- Circular economy
- Digital and sustainable transformation
- "Entrepreneurship for the common good" program of the German government
- Climate neutrality / CO2 footprint - Regulation
- Shortage of skilled workers
Beyond economy as a term describes an integrative approach to a future-oriented economy that develops from the established old economy and new economy and is based on ecological and social principles. The resulting beyond economy movement sees itself as a network of several hundred players who see the economy as a long-term responsibility. It stands for the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises, responsible capitalism, sustainable innovation processes and long-term social added value.
The festival, which starts at 1 p.m., offers a varied, interactive lecture program on three stages to exchange knowledge, develop new ideas and establish valuable networks:
- Keynotes, panels, workshops, focus tables: participants can share experiences, design innovative concepts and create valuable connections.
- Startup pitches: The focus here is on sustainable technologies and innovative solutions.
- Live art project with Verena Kandler & charity concert with the Concerto 21 Foundation from 8 p.m.: The musical performances will be provided by Shuteen Erdenebaatar and Goran Stevanovich. They combine modern classical, jazz and pop music.
Participants can look forward to a variety of renowned speakers and exciting program items that offer in-depth insights and practical inspiration for the development of an enkelfähige economy. Prof. Dr. Johanna Gollnhofer, Director of the Institute for Marketing and Customer Insight at the University of St. Gallen, will present her latest book "Das 60 %-Potential - mit Marketing die breite Masse für grünen Konsum begeistern" and provide valuable insights into the connection between sustainability and marketing communication.
