Program:
Works by Lili Boulanger, Gabriel Fauré, Eugénie Alécian, Alexandër Peçi and Fritz Kreisler
Rich in color and full of romantic lifeblood - this is the duo Bez & Therrien, who are performing their new program "A Phantasy of Colors" for the first time in the Sendesaal.
Fauré, Kreisler, Boulanger: the French-Canadian duo dives with relish into the great sea of romantic music for violin and
piano. And from this music, they develop a maelstrom that immediately draws us listeners in and opens up a world of sounds and stories on the intimate Sendesaal stage.
When the French violinist Jean-Samuel Bez met the Canadian pianist Jean-Luc Therrien at a festival in England seven years ago, the two of them knew it would be a deep musical friendship: This was going to be a deep musical friendship. Shortly afterwards, they won first prize at the International Zanuccoli Competition and have been touring the international concert stages as a duo ever since.
