Meanwhile, we are all feeling the threats of man-made climate change. Fires and storms, droughts and flood disasters are on the rise. Countries in the Global South are particularly affected.
In a photographic presentation, Heike Kammer reports on the resistance against the exploitation and destruction of Mother Earth in Latin American countries that she has traveled to. She shows the threats and persecution to which these courageous people are exposed, but also ways of international solidarity.
Heike Kammer: lived and worked for about 15 years as a peace expert for peace brigades international, pbi, in various countries in Latin America. Through this work and her tours with puppet theater she got to know different environmental activities. In Latin America, environmental activists constantly have to fear for their lives and are accompanied by pbi to protect them.
