If human movement can be used to generate energy - how does this change our understanding of our bodies? Will we become part of a natural energy cycle and thus overcome the opposition between man and nature? Or is it just a new cycle of exploitation and exclusion: which bodies are "usable" according to this principle, and which are not? In Blackouts, service not included creates an experiential space between party, revue and gym, in which questions of collectivity and the capitalization of bodies are negotiated.

Superheroes meet bodybuilders, cowboys meet pregnant pole dancers and a line dance group meets a headbanging choir, telling of visions of the future or natural disasters that have long since occurred in five chapters. Each visitor is given a pedometer and becomes part of the human power plant - unlocking the performance piece by piece.
