30 years ago, Sandra and Dieter Schonlau had a key experience with an orangutan on the third largest island in the world, which sparked their passion for tropical forests. Since then, they have pitched their tent under the giant jungle trees for several months every year to observe the rich diversity of tropical wildlife. However, anyone entering Borneo's rainforests for the first time will search in vain for an exuberant abundance of life. Most animals prefer the sheltered canopy region, and those that live on the ground are perfectly camouflaged. Insects with bizarre shapes, frogs, snakes, birds - most of them can only be heard. Unless you are blessed with the eyes of the National Geographic photographer, who peers behind the green curtain into the wonderland of glowing mushrooms, flying frogs and walking flowers. When the Schonlaus encounter forest elephants, proboscis monkeys, hornbills and orangutans, the audience is right in the middle of it all, enchanted and amazed - thanks to spectacular images and enthusiastic narration!
