Bremisch (Stadt.Musik.Kanten)

Once upon a time...

... the first band in the world. The Town Musicians of Bremen. They moved to the most beautiful city in the world to seek their fortune, make music and write history. Today we know: The roots of rock'n'roll lie in Bremen, this is where the hits were written that were only carried into the world many years later by other artists.

"Bremisch" have no less a mission than to rewrite the history of pop and rock music. They play the original Bremen versions of songs that we previously thought were written in England or the USA. What a mistake! Because they all come from Bremen! When Tina Turner sings "Simply the best", the Bremen original is called "Gib' mir ein Becks". They sing about the "Bremermann in New York" ("Englishman in New York") or the "Billie Jeans" ("Billie Jean"). And the original version of "Purple Rain" is of course also called "Bremer Regen".

"Bremisch" - a foray into a previously undiscovered world of pop and rock music.
