BUBE is BACK
BUBE is an indie band from Leipzig/Berlin with influences from funk, disco and surf. Their first full-length album will be released online and on vinyl in September 2024. BUBE formed in 2020 shortly before the coronavirus lockdown. Since then, the four-piece band has released two EPs and played countless live concerts and
tours in Germany and Austria. Their style is characterized by driving grooves, polyphonic vocals and 70s flair. Since their foundation, the band has built up a loyal and colorful fan base through their live concerts.
After their first tour in 2020, still under a different name, the four decided to switch from a solo project to a band. With the EP "PIPA" and the accompanying singles "Satellit" and "Easy Touch", BUBE laid the foundation for their space funk. Without a label, but with the support of Initiative Musik, the boys book their own tours and quickly make friends at and after their concerts.
friends at and after their concerts throughout Germany. Tirelessly touring and producing, BUBE 2022 followed up with their second EP "Better Believe". With more than 25 concerts from Kiel to Vienna this year, they break their own record. "Better Believe" also finds resonance with some
radio stations such as MDR Sputnik and Flux FM and the single "Reckless Girl" is voted the 14th best song of the year at Flux FM. Two collaborations followed in 2023 and 2024 for the CLASH!? project with the Gewandhaus
Children's Choir in Leipzig.
Now the band is in the starting blocks with their self-titled album BUBE. Financed by crowdfunding and concerts, they remain true to their DIY motto.
Tickets for the release concerts will be available soon.
"A hodgepodge of funk, groove and indie pop influences that really comes into its own live and in color." - Flux FM "Little bit like German Parcels, but with a darker synth pop twist." - Billy Otto
