Bud Spenzer Heart Chor

It was only a matter of time before the play on words was adequately realized, at least temporarily. But as always, the premise: The most beautiful melodies from Bud Spencer and Terence Hill films. Un Grande Spettacolo, but this time accompanied by a hardcore heart choir band!

The Bud Spenzer Heart Choir from Munich is setting a musical memorial here, because there can't be enough memorials for a giant like Bud, who died in June 2016. Bud didn't just bang thoughtlessly, he did it with a clear message: the strong for the weak! Today, this is not a matter of course, which is why we need a Bud Spencer more than ever to show us how it can be done with heart, snout and steam hammer. If only we all had as clear a moral compass as Bud!

Come with me for fun in my buggy! - the songs are a big part of the charm of the films, this incredible amount of slapstick moving image. Banana Joe, Flying Through the Air, Bulldozer, Sheriff - and of course the famous La la la la la la from "Two Like Pitch and Brimstone", the song to which Bud and Terence are chased through all their voices by a contract killer during choir practice. These songs go straight to the heart, in every one and at a gallop, because we all grew up with Bud and Terence.

The songs were written by the Italian brothers Guido and Maurizio de Angelis, better known under the stage name Oliver Onions. In summer 2018, the choir met the Onions for the first time, in front of 4,500 spectators at a concert at the Spencer Hill fan meeting in Saxony. That was great love! So much so that a joint concert soon followed in the Columbiahalle in Berlin.

And so the journey of the Bud Spenzer Heart Choir has only just begun. Across the entire oeuvre of Bud, Terence, Maurizio and Guido, across Germany. Bud would have liked that, his executor told us. We never stop. Mission!!!
