CANDY WORLD – Street Art Ausstellung

With the extensive solo exhibition "Candy World", Hamburg street artist mittenimwald departs from his usual minimalist color palette for the first time and transports visitors to a garishly colorful fairground world. But a closer look reveals a subtle provocation that questions social norms and encourages reflection.

"Candy World" is more than just an exhibition - it is an art happening that can be experienced with all the senses and transcends the boundaries between art and consumption, performance and readymade. mittenimwald conceived his current exhibition especially for the Urbanshit Gallery. He is expanding his perfectly crafted stencil paintings to include interactive, partly multimedia spatial installations that invite visitors to reflect on current issues and question social grievances.

Behind the artist name mittenimwald is Andreas Jakobs, an internationally recognized street artist known for his exceptional craftsmanship and detailed stencil paintings. Growing up in a small town in northern Germany, he developed his passion for street art during his time at an advertising agency in Hamburg, where he was inspired by the first paste-ups in the cityscape.

Influenced by punk rock culture, which taught him to question social conventions, mittenimwald 's work deals with themes such as consumption, the environment, peace and justice. His iconic visual language and characteristic color palette make each work an unmistakable "mittenimwald".
