𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 (CH)

...began as a nameless, irregular and loose jam session and only slowly gained traction after a few member changes and stylistic discovery processes in the early years. Since around 2014, they have been at home in post-rock, post-metal and prog.

The name stems from the desire to embody the essence of what music triggers in them. Regardless of musical background, they share a love for the melancholic, massive, fragile, haunting and moving elements of a composition. Metaphorically speaking, they have always associated good music with atmospheric concepts. A storm, black ice on the road, snowfall, the glittering sunlight on the water, fog, rain. Conditions in which you wouldn't actually want to drive a car because you run the risk of having an accident.
As a first milestone, they released a short EP called "Origins" in 2016, consisting of 3 songs. This was followed in 2018 by the release of their first longplayer "Secondary Drowning", a concept album on the subject of migration. They spent the following years working on a new concept album, which was released in 2023 as "Terra Nostra". In terms of shows, car crash weather can look back on a whole series of local, national and international appearances, whether as DIY-organized gigs, as openers for internationally renowned bands or as part of well-known festivals in the scene.

The sounds unveiled by Drawing Hills make deliberate use of the backstreets of rock.
In the summer of 2016, Drawing Hills worked on their first tracks, which were characterized by sober post-rock, math rock and deep, dark noise. Following the release of their first EP in November 2017, the quartet performed on a few local stages before embarking on a series of shows across Europe (Munich, Vienna...) in spring 2018. This was made possible by the great reception for their first work. After further tours in 2018 and 2019, the band recorded their second EP in 2022, which was released in November of the same year, and then went on tour again in 2023 and 2024 in France (Paris), Germany (Munich, Berlin) and the Czech Republic (Prague).
