Christin Henkel masters all emotions. From exceptionally funny to mean to deeply moving. That's why she needed a new genre to accommodate all her talents and timbres in one drawer. And voilà: the Kla-Ka-Son was born - the piano cabaret chanson. The singer-songwriter has been touring the country for ten years with her deep black humor, has been a guest on numerous cabaret shows, has written orchestral, film and theater music on the side, published three albums and various books in the Knaur, Eulenspiegel and Reclam publishing houses. She writes songs about confused "lazybones", the aperolization of the world and the question that most concerns Munich residents: Do I have to walk over dead bodies when looking for an apartment? In 2019, she was awarded the Hanns Seidl Foundation's prize for young songwriters and in 2020 the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra's special prize. In 2023, she has been nominated for the German Music Writer's Prize.
