Krump is one of the hardest things the dance world has to offer - a kind of Molotov cocktail of contemporary dance. With Arias Fernández, Nadine Gerspacher has brought a specialist on board for her new piece RE. whose raw and explosive street dance style, created in L.A. in early 2000 and sometimes reminiscent of voodoo ceremonies and exorcisms, creates the greatest possible contrast to the nuanced and multi-layered dance language of the Freiburg dancer and choreographer. In their duet, the two explore the diverse polarities of a society deeply divided by the coronavirus crisis and the individuals living in it.
