Community Nähen

In the organizer's words:

every second Tuesday from 18:30 to 21:30
for experienced sewers

Are you familiar with sewing and know your way around a needle, thread and sewing machines? Would you like to exchange ideas in the community, use our workshop with others, develop ideas together, experiment and realize projects? Then you've come to the right place!

How does community sewing work?

• through mutual support from people who already have experience in sewing
• through careful handling of tools, machines and materials (please report broken tools or materials!)
• by tidying up together after sewing
• by taking sewing projects you have started with you; storage in the workshop is not possible
• by paying the contribution towards expenses yourself

What is the contribution towards expenses for? Why is it important?
Part of your contribution goes to the person present for the evening, who locks and unlocks the room, takes responsibility for the room and equipment and organizes the appointments. The other part of your contribution covers a portion of the costs incurred in the sewing workshop for dyeing: Material costs (thread, needles, chalk, etc.), repair costs, annual maintenance costs, purchase of new machines and tools as well as electricity and cleaning costs. With your contribution, you help to ensure that community sewing can take place regularly!

Price information:

UNEXPENSIVE CONTRIBUTION: 5 € for people under 27 || 10 € for people over 27. (JUST SHORT OF MONEY? Write to us, we'll find a solution: oe_werkstatt@kjr-m.de)
