„Connecting the dots – Museal, theatral, digital. Smarte Ansätze vernetzter Kulturvermittlung“

Maren Richter, curator of the special exhibition 2025 "From Page to Stage", and Jan Waizenhöfer, digital coordinator of the Deutsches Theatermuseum, will give an exciting insight into the future of the museum as part of the "Thematic Days kultur.digital.experience" of the Kultur.Digital.Vermittlung funding program of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts.

Find out more about the hybrid exhibition concept of the special exhibition, in which analog and digital mediation work hand in hand. Among other things, the museum's new homepage, which will play a central role in the special exhibition, will be presented.

"From Page to Stage" accompanies and documents a live theater process for the first time in the exhibition format, based on the production of "Romeo and Juliet". Under the direction of Elsa-Sophie Jach, in-house director at the Residenztheater, the Shakespeare drama will premiere in May 2025 - the opening of the exhibition will follow two weeks later. Maren Richter and Jan Waizenhöfer talk to Elsa-Sophie Jach about the cooperation project between the two Bavarian cultural institutions, current theater operations, the special features of a "live curation" and the opportunities of digital extensions.
