CONSYOU:MER-EVENT

Consumers today are faced with numerous constantly changing challenges. Dealing with these challenges appropriately depends to a large extent on whether individuals and society as a whole have the necessary skills to cope with complex life situations or can develop them through learning processes. An important starting point for enabling consumers to act in such decision-making situations is the individualized strengthening of consumer skills for more resilience. This summer, we would therefore like to cordially invite you to the CONSYOU:MER event on August 23 from 10 am to 5 pm. The event will offer space for communicating the relevant results of scientific discourse, interactive formats such as experiments as well as spaces for experience and reflection on various areas of consumption such as digitalization, sustainability, energy or indebtedness and over-indebtedness. The educational event will be scientifically prepared by hybrid expert workshops in the Oldenburg Experimental Laboratory for Economic Education(OX-Lab) at the University of Oldenburg. This event is aimed at interested members of the public, pupils from year 9 upwards and teachers and trainee teachers of economics and political economy. The Institute for Economic Education (IÖB) is organizing the educational event as part of the project "Discourses on the future: consumers between demands and excessive requirements". This project is funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture.
