Lia, a retired teacher who is tired of life and struggling financially, has undertaken to fulfill the last wish of her recently deceased sister: To find Tekla, her long-lost daughter. On this moving journey through the streets of Istanbul, Lia is accompanied by Achi, an unlucky young man and Tekla's former neighbor and friend. Together, the unlikely duo develop an unexpectedly deep bond.
