Daily Thompson

Daily Thompson are on the straight path to the top, without letting themselves be bent. But they also take the hardest route, that of rock'n'roll, which you have to play live with sweat and blood. Anyone who has seen this band live even once knows that they have that certain something, that spark that makes them special and unique. They have just been nominated by POP NRW in the "Outstanding Artist" category and have been signed as exclusive European tour support by none other than the brilliant Monster Magnet.

The trio embodies the proverbial blue-collar mentality from the deep west. Because somehow they are always on tour, even when the band has a break they are on the tour bus and it is hardly surprising that they have already released their sixth studio album - the fourth in just four years on Noisolution!

"Chuparosa" was recorded and produced by Tony Reed, for which the three Dortmund natives traveled to APL Studios in Port Orchard near Seattle. Tony Reed, who in addition to his work as a musician (Mos Generator, Stone Axe, Big Scenic Nowhere, etc.) is also active as a producer (including Saint Vitus), brought his expertise to the table, as well as his friend Bob Balch from Fu Manchu as a guest to refine the typical Daily Thompson sound. The band have found their own sound and have created their own "desert grunge" between alternative and grunge, between stoner riffs and desert/space rock anthems.
