In the organizer's words:

The DANCE DATES take place twice a year in cooperation with E-WERK Freiburg e.V.. Tanznetz Freiburg programs one regional and one supra-regional production on two double evenings at E-WERK Freiburg - accompanied by a short artist talk with Stephanie Moers from E-WERK Freiburg. Still.dependent (E-WERK Saal) by the Freiburg company will be performed together with the Berlin production Restraint (revival at E-WERK Kammertheater) by Lina Gómez.

Restraint

In Restraint, dancer Julek Kreutzer fully engages with a single, specific quality of movement: a constant burst of energy in the smallest of spaces that constantly puts power in its place. Driven by the rhythm of the drums, she works persistently to maintain this state, which nevertheless changes imperceptibly. In this extremely physical choreography, dance and music make the room and the audience vibrate. (15.11. & 16.11. | 19:00 | Kammertheater)

still.dependent

In still.dependent, three performers with the Cyr Wheel embark on a detailed investigation into human-object relationships, drawing a sensual utopia - beyond subject-object dichotomies, reification and anthropocentric hierarchies of meaning. (Premiere on 15.11. | 20:00 & 16.11. | 20:00 | Saal)

What the two pieces have in common is the focus on the close interrelationships between people/body and music or an object and the resulting interdependencies and mutual dependencies.

The important and successful format enables an exchange between the participating artists and provides important impulses for dance professionals in the South Baden region and the border triangle, but is also aimed at the interested public as well as cultural organizers and the trade press in the region.
