Das Ende der Kunst - Finissage zweier Kunstausstellungen

In the organizer's words:

This Sunday, the MKK will close with "REMIX. 800 Jahre Kunst entdecken" and "IN RÄUMEN. Jörg Winde. Photographs 1984 - 2024", two successful art exhibitions end at the same time. In the first show, the museum is presenting highlights from its own collection of fine art from the High Middle Ages to Art Nouveau, while the other is showing photographs by Dortmund artist
photographs by Dortmund artist Jörg Winde - two exhibitions that at first glance appear to be two great contrasts: paintings and sculptures from earlier centuries on the one hand, and pictorial works using modern technology on the other.

The curator of the Remix exhibition, Christian Walda, and the artist Jörg Winde cordially invite you to join them for the last opportunity to view both exhibitions and to talk about art, our human desire and the urgent need to exhibit (and visit exhibitions). You can take this opportunity to ask questions about the future of the MKK as well as art theory issues or personal likes and dislikes.

The "end of art" is not meant in absolute terms, but the works will disappear into storage over the next few years due to the upcoming renovation work.
