In the organizer's words:

Kawa Tolan, who is of Kurdish descent, is studying law in Germany. His father fled to Germany due to reprisals, torture, oppression and out of fear for his life and the safety of his family. He was not granted asylum there and was deported to Turkey. Despite overwhelming evidence of the prison sentence and torture his father was facing in Turkey, the judge at the time deemed the deportation to be correct.

For him, Turkey was a safe country of origin. A different decision would have been legally possible. In the end, what was foreseeable happened in Turkey: the father died as a result of imprisonment and torture. Years later: Kawa is studying law in Germany. He finds out that his lecturer, law professor Peter Reiners, was the judge in his father's case. The two meet.
This exciting intimate play is based on real events from the family of co-author and actor Orhan Müstak and is representative of the fate of many people around the world who are currently fleeing persecution, torture and oppression.
