In this concert, Margarita Rumyantseva and Dennis Ivanov fan out the violin literature of the 20th and 21st centuries across Europe's borders. With Kapustin's sonata, they knock on the doors of jazz, while with Say's sonata they go beyond the classical musical language of the Western tradition. In addition to sonatas by Poulenc and Hindemith, they will perform the world premiere of "Meditation" by Andreas J. Winkler, which he composed especially for the duo.
