Simon McBride is one of the most outstanding guitarists of his generation. As the current lead guitarist of Deep Purple and long-time companion of Don Airey, he has secured himself a permanent place in rock history. Early on he was awarded the title of Young Guitarist of the Year and his career took him to bands such as Sweet Savage, where he replaced Vivian Campbell (Dio, Def Leppard). Tours with Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck and Joe Bonamassa cemented his reputation as a master of blues-rock. Critics praise him as "one of the best blues-rock guitarists in the world" (Guitarist). His solo album The Fighter (earMUSIC) showcased his talent for powerful riffs and emotional depth. He toured Europe with Don Airey, worked with rock icons such as Ozzy Osbourne and Ian Gillan and played on three of Gillan's albums. In 2023, Simon reached new heights with his role as an official member of Deep Purple, where he enriched the legendary band with his virtuoso playing. McBride remains a defining force in modern rock - a name synonymous with passion, skill and musical excellence. At the end of March 2025, the artist and his band will be coming to Germany for three live shows.
