In the past, there have already been various AfD events under the label "remigration". Not least in NRW, where Bundestag member Roger Beckamp (Rhein-Sieg II constituency) has repeatedly called for "millions of remigration", and ultimately deportation, in speeches and on his social media channels. With his participation, an AfD event on this topic is also to take place in Eitorf on 23.01.2023. A counter-demonstration is planned from Eitorf train station at 17:30.
When the AfD uses the trivializing and, in this context, factually incorrect euphemism "remigration" (which is used as a code word in the far-right scene), it ultimately means deportation and nothing else. The racist agitation and totalitarian fantasies of AfD members across the various political levels are nothing new, but the event in Potsdam also shows how close they are to achieving their fascist goals. The AfD's reactions to Correctiv's research (Beckamp: "Remigration is not a secret plan, but a promise") and a look at the AfD program also show that fascists are now openly formulating their brown objectives in public.
