"You think, get up in the morning, go to school, chat with friends, argue with your parents, TikTok, Netflix, that's it - nobody asks questions. That's exactly the problem."

Jonas knows the truth. About hidden structures, secret plans and intentions . It's not really clear who they are, nor how all these things are connected. The only thing that seems clear is that they know Jonas has exposed them and that puts him in great danger. Because Jonas has decided to talk. So that the others don't remain sleeping sheep and finally recognize the truth.

The classroom play The Debunker is a monologue about how conspiracy narratives can change individual lives and the suffering they can cause. Who is responsible, who is guilty for the global problems and the personal life situation? The search for a simple truth, for explanations for an increasingly complex world, becomes increasingly confusing and threatening for Jonas. On the Internet, he not only finds supposed answers, but also new, disturbing secrets, from which he tries to escape with mistrust, aluminum foil and total withdrawal into the protective zone of his apartment. Yet Jonas wants nothing more than people who understand him and whom he can trust ...

After the touching monologue All das Schöne, Peter Kirschke is once again directing this new classroom play at KJT Dortmund in the 2023|24 season.
