A musical journey to distant and magical lands in another time. The duo Dreilinden (Yu-Hsuan Feng: cello & Katrina Szederkenyi: harp) awakens feelings of longing and transports us to another world. Well-known melodies from Studio Ghibli films are played, as well as from other films.

A boy who longs for his mother ventures into a mysterious world shared by the living and the dead. There, death comes to an end and life finds a new beginning. The Boy and the Heron" is a semi-autobiographical fantasy about life, death and creation, and not least a tribute to friendship, by master director Hayao Miyazaki. After his mother is killed in an air raid during the Second World War, eleven-year-old Mahito is forced to leave Tokyo. He moves in with his father and his father's new wife in an old mansion on a huge country estate. Isolated from the world, Mahito begins to explore the enchanted landscapes that surround his new home and encounters a mysterious gray heron that stubbornly stays by his side. Gradually, the heron becomes his guide and helps him to better understand the world around him and unravel the mysteries of life. Awarded the Oscars® 2024 for Best Animated Feature Film.
