Hurray: Störtebeker moors in Hamburg again after 600 years - at the Schmidt Theater on the Reeperbahn!
The pirate Klaus Störtebeker, who stole from the rich, helped the poor and in the end paid with his life, is a legend in northern Germany. But how does one become one? What kind of boy must he have been to do everything he could to become a pirate? And in the dark Middle Ages? Seven actors in numerous roles tell the fantastic prehistory of the boy who will one day be Störtebeker - a boy in search of a home, a name and himself.
The new children's musical at the Schmidt is exciting, touching and of course very, very funny. A full-bodied theatrical spectacle, with brave girls, talking rats and not-so-bad pirates, with silly word games, an illness whose name must not be mentioned, and of course with a mysterious treasure that turns out to be real pirate's luck!
This adventure will sweep away all who are or have children or were once children themselves. The makers of the Schmidt children's hits "Der Räuber Hotzenplotz" and "Es war einmal - 7 Märchen auf einen Streich" (Once upon a time - 7 fairy tales in one go) have created a true declaration of love to fantasy, with great music that immediately catches the ear and goes straight to the heart. So all aboard and off to the great caper!
