The film "The Teacher Who Promised Us the Sea" tells the moving story of an idealistic teacher from Tarragona who teaches his pupils self-confidence and the joy of learning. With a small printing press and the dream of a trip to the sea, he inspires the children until the Spanish Civil War thwarts their plans. Through the journey of a woman searching for the remains of her great-grandfather, the past comes to life and touchingly shows how people's memories permeate the course of history and teach us what really matters.
