His name is rarely mentioned without referring to the novel of the century "Infinite
Fun": David Foster Wallace, an exceptional talent in American literature. His essays, which are available under the title Infinite Jest, are in no way inferior to the novel. Unlike his main work, which breaks every mold, the essays are fascinatingly precise, accessible texts. Observations
from a cruise, a visit to a porn fair or the Maine Lobster Festival burst with bitter humor. His text on the 9/11 attacks is one of the most poignant and intelligent ever written on the subject. But Wallace wouldn't be Wallace if he didn't mercilessly embellish the real situation in his imagination whenever he felt like it. Great intellectual fun that calls for great readers. We are really looking forward to this sparkling stage encounter between Iris Berben and Olli Dittrich. Concept: Werner Köhler
