In this one-hour ride through Heinrich von Kleist's courtroom thriller "The Broken Jug", actor Andreas von Studnitz uses artificial intelligence to slip live into an avatar for each of the ten characters, which can be seen on a screen. He plunges into Kleist's dialog in front of the audience. A camera uses AI-supported technology to create an avatar for each character in real time. These become visible on a screen with correspondingly altered voices, supported by a specially composed soundtrack.

The evening draws its special charm from the tension between the analog original (the actor) and the digital illusion (the live film): a "Making of Zerbrochener Krug" - while at the same time telling the story. And thus symbolizes anew the central idea in Kleist's essay "Über das Marionettentheater":

"...the grace that appears purest in that human physique which has either none at all or an infinite consciousness, i.e. in the limb-man or in the god ..."
