In the "carte jaune!" format, the/gelbe/klang invites artists to create a free program with the ensemble. After the "yellow card" was awarded to conductors three times in a row, the composer and singer Agata Zubel is a guest in the current season.
"One of Europe's most accomplished and internationally successful contemporary classical composers and singers," wrote the New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune attested: "Zubel is undoubtedly to her generation of new-music singers what the great Cathy Berberian was to her generation." Known for her unique vocal range and use of exposed extended techniques, Zubel performs concerts worldwide and has premiered numerous new works. Naturally, the voice occupies a special place in her own oeuvre. We are therefore delighted that she has accepted the "carte jaune" and will not only curate the program, but will also play a major role in shaping the concert as a soloist.
