Connections - between people, places, bodies and communities - are a theme that repeatedly drives the Brazilian choreographer Renan Martins. Influenced by his personal experiences as a queer person of color in Europe, Renan Martins combines contemporary dance and musical references with political reflection in a fun and critical way. Having recently explored club culture as a collective practice in his ensemble pieces, he now turns his attention to the personal. Inspired by bell hooks' book All About Love: New Visions, Renan Martins explores our relationship to relationships and intimacy. His new work is a dance from separation to connection, about a society that constantly reinforces individualism. But if we are neurologically wired to connect with others, how long can we endure without relationship, without belonging, without togetherness?

What is audio description?

Audio description or audio description offers blind and visually impaired people barrier-free access to the visual elements of theater and dance performances.

What is a haptic tour?

The tactile tour takes place shortly before the performance to which the audio description is offered.
Visitors who are blind or visually impaired can feel the stage set, costumes and props. In this way, they receive information in advance that sighted visitors can access during the performance through visual perception.
